Barrettine Creosolve Light Brown

Barrettine CreoSolve® is a lower hazard alternative to traditional Creosote and some other Creosote replacement wood treatments.

Similar physical/ water repellence/application characteristics of traditional Creosote but contains no biocide. An oil based, bitumen and wax treatment for the protection of exterior timbers such as fence panels & fence posts etc.

Not suitable for decking or exterior wooden furniture.

Apply by brush at a rate of 1 litre product per 6-8m2 of surface or by dipping timber for 20 minutes.

Directions for use:

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as chemical resistant gloves, overalls and eye/face protection to protect against splashes. If in doubt speak, to your PPE supplier and show them this label/product, or call us for further advice. Do not dilute. Ensure surfaces to be treated are clean, dry and free from surface coatings such as paint, varnish etc. Remove all deposits of mould, lichen or algae from timber surfaces using a stiff brush. Apply by brush or dipping only. Wash brushes and tools with white spirit. As the shade may vary from batch to batch, it is recommended that test patches are applied before general application. Note: If using several containers recommend to mix before use to ensure colour uniformity

Application:

Ensure wood to be treated is dry, free from dirt and repellent coatings such as paint or varnish (remove and sand down as required).

Apply product via brush in suitable conditions. (Make sure weather conditions are dry and still). 

Coverage 1 litre to 6-8 sq metres per coat. Apply 2 coats for best results to bare or stained wood, not painted.

If several containers are to be used mix/match before use as colours can vary from batch to batch.

Drying times 24-48 hours.

Clean equipment with Barrettine White Spirit.
